The Rock-It 7’ Surf School SHORTBUS model is designed for surf school or rental use. The emphasis is on durability and stability to give your surf school students the greatest chance of success, and your business to get multiple years of use and equipment survival against extreme wear and tear. In addition to a wider/thicker profile than the standard 7’ Shortbus, the board also includes the following:
-Extra thick deck material layer
-Center-mounted handle
-IXL tubes & silica rings added to fin threads for additional water resistance
-Nose, Tail and Rail reinforcement
Note that we typically only carry this product in one color choice.
The entire board is heat laminated with no harmful dyes, glues, resins or toxins in the production process, and manufactured in a facility that uses collected rainwater. All materials used are recyclable. All Rock-It surfboards come with a one year warranty against manufacturing defects.
Why the Sea Camo Stripes on the bottom? In 2013 University of Western Australia neurobiologist Nathan Hart & entrepreneur Hamish Jolly conducted research that indicated a zebra striped pattern was a deterrence to sharks & presented their results in a Ted Talk. The patterns disperse the shark’s ability to identify the item, and mimic non-food source items in their environment. Of course there are no guarantees, but if there is an indication something could be safer, why not do it?!

This board is so much fun for all-levels! Its durable, stable, and supportive, but also maneuverable and responsive! This is the perfect board for beginners to learn on so you truly get the feel of surfing and can transition to a hardtop easily. This board is also super fun to surf as an intermediate/ advanced surfer as well! It's so much FUN!
A super fun and durable soft-top surfboard for all levels! It's stable and supportive, but also allows easy maneuverability for learning how to turn and ride down the line! I am an advanced surfer & surf coach- I use these boards to teach on and I also have an absolute blast surfing on this model! So much FUN!
My daughter loves the board! It's an activity we can do together that brings us closer. Floats real easily making it versatile in most conditions.
Surfboard came well packaged and is very sturdy and lightweight. Love the bright colors of this board and it's a great value for a beginning surfboard.
My son is finally old enough to start thinking about hitting the waves for himself, and this seems like a really solid beginner board for him. The soft top feels really nice and, of course, he likes the fun pattern. The size is exactly what he needed, and seems to fit him really well. This board has definitely got him begging us to go to the beach even more frequently. Love the color, too!
