A short story--one day we were delivering boards to a customer in Hatteras, NC. This customer-- Shortbus Board Co.--makes professional fiberglass surfboards and wakesurf boards. They indicated that if Rock-It could make a wakesurf in our durable soft top materials, it would be a great product. Shortbus provided design files on a tried and true professional design.
We then partnered with professional wakeboarder and wakeboard/wakesurf instructor Chance Croyle at Lake Gaston in NC who worked with us on R&D, testing, tuning, refining and ultimately making a killer product at a killer price.
So here we have it, Rock-It's first wakesurf board, the PLANK. It has three wooden nano-polymer coated stringers for rigidity and is produced using an Advanced Smart 3D Lamination construction that is energy efficient and free of harmful epoxies, glues, or toxins. The result is a professional grade product with rounded rails, advanced waterproofing, UV resistance, built-in EVA traction, and a performance fin box system with three 2" bonzer fins - yet in safe, soft materials that won't hurt anyone or their boat.

Got this for my husband who is 6'1" to ride tandem with our 2-year old son and teach him how to surf on. It's honestly a 10/10. Lightweight but stable. Easy smooth ride. Didn't even really need wax. This is going to be a summer staple coming to the beach with us for years to come.
Great do it all board for the whole family. Plenty of float but less cumbersome than a 9’. My whole family will learn to surf on this bad boy.
Definitely paddles well.
Turning on the other hand, it’s a bit slow
Very fun board to learn on. 37 yo, absolute beginner. I’ve been taking this board out to linda mar in Pacifica and learning how to stand up and it’s easy to paddle, you feel very safe and sturdy on the board, it makes it easy to pop up and to ride as a beginner. I’m 5’9 165 lbs and it is a good size for me. I wish it had a center cut for easy carrying, but other than that it’s fantastic. Great look, great feel, well made, perfect to paddle into 1-4 foot waves. It’s a safe option for any adult or child looking to learn to surf.
My favorite surfboard [****].
